A little about me…
My name is Lydia Cregar, and I have been playing piano since I was four years old. Growing up I played in church many times and performed in many recitals. In 2019. Since then, I have had the privilege of arranging many hymns in a concert style. I enjoy taking Classical technique and putting it into hymns. My dream is to be able to play anything and play it well.
Since the spring of 2023, I have been tuning pianos. I have had the privilege of learning from a talented technician in San Deigo, CA. Through his guidance, I am now able to make a piano sound beautiful.
As a Christian, it is my desire to bring skillful, Christ-honoring music into the church. I have had the privilege of studying with some incredible teachers over the years including Rosie Mace, Jaron Cannon, and Dr. Mike Zachary. Through them, I have been able to study advanced music theory, technique, Classical music, and traditional improvisation. I have been teaching since I was 15 years old. I believe there is no point in learning something, if I can’t use it for God’s glory and teach it to others.
